1815年：印尼坦博拉火山噴發，它的火山灰幾乎覆蓋了世界的每個角落，全球溫度下降了約5℃，引發了1816年著名的「無夏」之年。[1]

1998年：英國首相布萊爾和愛爾蘭總理伯蒂·埃亨簽訂旨在推動北愛爾蘭和平進程的《貝爾法斯特協議》。

2010年：2010年波蘭空軍圖-154墜機事件：波蘭總統萊赫·卡欽斯基的座機在飛往莫斯科的途中墜毀，機上包含卡欽斯基總統夫婦在內多人罹難。
2011年：2011年北京守望教會戶外敬拜事件：北京守望家庭教會因政府限制其聚會場所，開始戶外敬拜，上百位參加戶外敬拜的信徒被警察抓捕，強迫寫保證書，放棄戶外敬拜。[2]
2012年：薄熙來王立軍事件：中共中央發布對薄熙來的處理決定，司法機關對其妻薄谷開來涉嫌故意殺人案進行複查。
2017年：港鐵東涌線和觀塘線先後發生故障，其中觀塘線於傍晚下班繁忙時間發生電力故障，列車服務受阻逾兩小時，其中一輛列車停留管道近一小時後，車長才打開車頭緊急逃生門疏散乘客，至少8人不適送院，[3]港鐵需為今次延誤事故罰款300萬元。[4]
2019年：事件視界望遠鏡專案發布了人類第一張黑洞相片，於布魯塞爾、聖地亞哥、上海、台北、東京、華盛頓等地分別以英語、西班牙語、漢語、日語同時召開全球連線的發布會。[5][6]

1925: The novel "A Biography of a Tycoon" was published in New York.
1930: Taiwan's Jianan Dazhen water connection was opened.
1946: Japan conducts its first parliamentary elections after the war.
1946: The International Military Tribunal for the Far East begins to try Japanese war criminals in Tokyo.
1946: The Arab League meets in Cairo.
1956: The first professional football team in the history of Shandong football-Shandong Sports Training Class Football Team was established.
1959: Japanese crown prince Akihito married Michiko, and Akihito became the first Japanese crown prince to marry a commoner.
1963: The US nuclear submarine USS Thresher (English: USS Thresher (SSN-593)) sank in the waters near Cape Cod, killing all 129 people on board.
1971: The American snooker team was invited by China to arrive in Beijing for a visit, and snooker diplomacy began.
1972: The United States and the Soviet Union signed the "Convention on the Prohibition of Biological Weapons."
1985: The "Sino-British Joint Statement" was approved by the third meeting of the Sixth National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China. On the same day, the meeting passed the establishment of the Hong Kong Basic Law Drafting Committee.
1990: Wang Dehui, the founder of the Hong Kong Chinachem Group, was kidnapped for the second time, and then disappeared. He was ruled "dead" in law in 1999.

2011: The outdoor worship event of Beijing Shouwang Church in 2011: Beijing Shouwang House Church began outdoor worship due to government restrictions on its meeting places. Hundreds of believers who participated in outdoor worship were arrested by the police, forced to write a letter of guarantee, and gave up outdoor worship worship. [2]
2012: Bo Xilai and Wang Lijun incident: The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued a decision on the handling of Bo Xilai, and the judiciary conducted a review of the suspected intentional homicide of his wife Bo Gukailai.
2017: MTR Tung Chung Line and Kwun Tong Line failed successively. Among them, the Kwun Tong Line experienced a power failure during the evening rush hour, and the train service was blocked for more than two hours. One of the trains stayed in the pipeline for nearly an hour before the captain After opening the emergency exit door at the front of the train to evacuate the passengers, at least 8 people were unwell and sent to hospital.[3] The MTR had to fined 3 million yuan for this delay. 2019: The Event Horizon Telescope project released the first black hole photo of mankind. The global connection conference was held in Brussels, San Diego, Shanghai, Taipei, Tokyo, Washington and other places at the same time in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese. [5][6]
