1782年：英國輝格黨領導人第二代羅金漢侯爵查爾斯·華森-文特沃斯第二度出任英國首相一職。

1794年：因為巴巴利海盜持續俘獲美國商船，美國國會通過決議建造6艘戰艦，成為了美國海軍的雛形。

1945年：施亞努宣布柬埔寨獨立。

1946年：國共達成《東北停戰協議》。

1964年：耶穌受難日地震：美國阿拉斯加威廉王子灣在當地時間下午5時36分發生地震矩規模9.2（芮氏規模8.5）地震，造成143人罹難，最大城市安克拉治受到嚴重破壞。本次地震為北美洲歷史上規模最大的地震。

1970年：柬埔寨內閣首相龍諾發動政變（英語：Cambodian coup of 1970）奪取政權，國王施亞努被廢黜。

1973年：《教父》獲得第45屆奧斯卡最佳影片、最佳男主角及最佳編劇3項大獎。

1977年：迦納利空難：泛美航空與荷蘭皇家航空的兩架波音747客機在迦納利群島的機場相撞，583人罹難。

1998年：美國輝瑞製藥公司研發治療男性勃起功能障礙的藥物威而鋼獲得美國食品藥品監督管理局的上市許可。

2000年：普丁當選俄羅斯總統。

2004年：美國X-43A實驗機成功地在太平洋上空完成高達7馬赫的極超音速飛行，打破世界紀錄。

2005年：獲得美國金球獎的醫學電視系列劇《實習醫生》於美國廣播公司首次播出。

2010年：全球逾6,000座城市參與了世界自然基金會發起的「地球一小時」關燈一小時行動[1]。

2011年：澳洲CVC廣播電台宣布停止其10年的短波廣播。

2013年：台灣南投縣仁愛鄉境發生芮氏規模6.2地震，造成1死97傷。

2018年：蘋果公司發布了新的9.7吋iPad。

2020年：香港新增65宗新型冠狀病毒肺炎確診個案，為第二波疫情以來單日確診數量最高。[2]政府宣布兩項新防疫措施，以限制人群聚集和減少社交接觸，包括28日下午六時起管制餐飲業營運、關閉6類娛樂場所和29日凌晨開始禁止4人以上公眾聚會

1970: Cambodian Prime Minister Ronno launched a coup to seize power, and King Shiyanu was deposed.

1973: "The Godfather" won the 45th Oscar for Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Screenplay.

1977: Air crash in Canary: Pan Am and KLM two Boeing 747 passenger planes collided at an airport in the Canary Islands, killing 583 people.

1998: Pfizer Pharmaceuticals of the United States developed a drug Weiergang for the treatment of male erectile dysfunction and was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.

2000: Putin was elected President of Russia.

21st century

2004: The American X-43A experimental aircraft successfully completed a hypersonic flight of up to Mach 7 over the Pacific Ocean, breaking the world record.

2005: The medical television series "Interns", which won the American Golden Globe Award, was first broadcast on ABC.

2010: More than 6,000 cities around the world participated in the "Earth Hour" campaign launched by WWF[1].

2011: The Australian CVC radio station announced that it would stop shortwave broadcasting for 10 years.

2013: A 6.2 Richter scale earthquake occurred in Renai Township, Nantou County, Taiwan, causing 1 death and 97 injuries.

2018: Apple released a new 9.7-inch iPad.

2020: There are 65 new confirmed cases of new coronavirus pneumonia in Hong Kong, the highest number of confirmed cases in a single day since the second wave of the epidemic. [2] The government announced two new anti-epidemic measures to limit crowd gathering and reduce social contacts, including the regulation of catering operations from 6 pm on the 28th, the closure of 6 types of entertainment venues, and the ban on public gatherings of more than 4 people from the early morning of the 29th.
