1990年：德意志民主共和國（東德）舉行最後一次選舉。

1996年：台灣第一次總統直選在即，台灣海峽形勢緊張，中國人民解放軍南京軍區在台海舉行三軍聯合演習。

1997年：南昆鐵路全線鋪通。

1999年：台灣台北市正式率先啟用行人倒數計時顯示器，俗稱小綠人。

21世紀 編輯

2000年：台灣第2次總統民選，民進黨候選人陳水扁以不足半數得票當選，形成台灣政治史上首次政黨輪替。

2004年：山東省即墨市舉辦了一次盛大的「祭海節」活動。

2014年：台灣學生及民眾因不滿政府《兩岸服務貿易協議》而佔據國會議場抗議。

2019年：香港港鐵發生列車相撞事故，兩列荃灣綫列車於中環站附近相撞，受事故影響荃灣綫列車服務只能由荃灣站來往金鐘站。

1997: The entire Nankun Railway was opened.

1999: Taipei City, Taiwan officially took the lead in launching a pedestrian countdown display, commonly known as the Little Green Man.

21st century

2000: Taiwan's second presidential election, DPP candidate Chen Shui-bian was elected with less than half of the votes, forming the first political party rotation in Taiwan's political history.

2004: Jimo City, Shandong Province held a grand "Sea Festival" event.

2014: Taiwanese students and citizens occupy the National Conference Hall to protest because they are dissatisfied with the government's "Cross-Strait Services Trade Agreement".

2019: A train collision accident occurred on the Hong Kong MTR. Two Tsuen Wan Line trains collided near the Central Station. The train service on the Tsuen Wan Line affected by the accident can only go from Tsuen Wan Station to Admiralty Station.
