為提升偏鄉長者的健康安全及善盡社會責任，國際獅子會300F區第四專區媒合捐贈共16部電動代步車，並於今(19)日交付給臺東縣內需要的長者，作為代步行動輔具之用，並期望達到拋磚引玉的效果。縣長饒慶鈴親自到場致謝，代表臺東鄉親感謝獅子會的用心與關照，讓弱勢長輩在寒冬仍能感受社會的溫暖。

捐贈儀式於今日下午在縣府前廣場舉行，包括國際獅子會300F區第一副總監陳正勳、祕書長李敏卿、第四專區主席陳泓志及臺東縣內各獅子會領導獅友與會，饒慶鈴對於國際獅子會的愛心捐贈16部電動代步車，提供長者作為代步行動輔具，讓他們生活更便利，表達由衷感謝，獅子會長久以來在縣內舉辦許多社會服務的工作，期盼能拋磚引玉，有更多的企業團體關懷縣內弱勢家庭及長者。

縣長表示，至去(109)年12月底臺東縣老年人口比率高達17.52%，身心障礙人口則佔全縣8%左右，顯見弱勢與長者照顧的需求攀升，縣府也積極爭取建置相關社會福利，例如長照輔具補助實施「代償墊付」，民眾只要持衛生局核發「輔具核定結果通知書」到特約商店購買，僅需支付差額就可將輔具帶回家，便利性提高並減輕民眾經濟負擔，申請輔具補助人數大增，去年共計2915人次；另也提升身心障礙者的輔具服務，不僅增設包括長濱、成功、海端等9處服務據點，讓偏鄉身障者不需奔波臺東市，也增加輔具諮詢、檢測、維修等人力，輔具費用補助項目更高達174項，協助身心障礙者在宅照顧或居家環境安全改善。
