2021台中國際動畫短片徵件開跑 總獎金高達120萬元

全台唯一以動畫為主題、規模最大的年度城市影展「台中國際動畫影展」（TIAF），自即日起至6月30日止開放短片競賽報名，短片競賽單元包含「短片競賽」、「台灣短片競賽」、「學生短片競賽」、「台灣學生短片競賽」及「觀眾票選獎」5大項，總獎金高達120萬元，入圍名單預計7月31日前於官網公布，歡迎全球動畫好手報名參加，共同角逐高額競賽獎金。

台中市影視發展基金會表示，台中國際動畫影展的短片競賽單元，以發掘全球動畫新銳為目標，廣受全球動畫創作者及製作公司矚目。儘管去年受新冠肺炎疫情影響，仍有來自96個國家及地區共2,028部作品報名參賽，其中入圍競賽單元的63部短片中，台灣短片就占8部，評審們皆給予高度評價，展現台灣動畫充沛的藝術創作能量，今年期待更多國內、外動畫創作者參與國際動畫年度盛會，全球好手同台較「技」，共創台灣動畫領域新高峰。

每年影展期間，多位重量級台灣及新銳導演們齊聚台中，不但讓更多台灣優秀動畫作品於全球露出，大幅提升台灣動畫在國際的能見度，也讓台中努力推動的用心被世界看見。經過近年深耕經營，台中國際動畫短片競賽已逐漸站穩腳步與世界接軌，評審結果更成為各大影展的風向球，例如去年台灣短片競賽首獎《山川壯麗》代表台灣競逐奧斯卡，並入圍美國奧瑪哈影展、亞特蘭大影展、香港電影節等多個國際影展。

台中市政府新聞局說明，「台中國際動畫影展」自2015年由新聞局開辦以來，每年在台中商業戲院盛大舉行，2017年起在新聞局補助下，由台中市影視發展基金會承辦，經過短短4年努力已逐漸茁壯，盼讓更多台灣優秀動畫創作者在國際間發光發熱。今年短片競賽為響應節能減碳愛地球，採網路線上報名，不接受紙本報名，詳細競賽規章與報名方式，請上台中國際動畫短片競賽官網（https://twtiaf.com/2021rg/ ）查詢，或逕洽04-23236100分機23（劉先生）。(4/8*11)*新聞局

Taichung International Animation Film Festival (TIAF), the only animation-themed and largest annual urban film festival in Taiwan, is open for short film competition registration from now until June 30. Short film competition units include "Short Film Competition" and "Taiwan Short Films" There are five major categories: "Contest", "Student Short Film Contest", "Taiwan Student Short Film Contest" and "Audience Voting Award". The total prize money is up to 1.2 million yuan. The shortlist is expected to be announced on the official website before July 31. Global animation experts are welcome to sign up. Compete together for high competition prizes.

The Taichung Film and Television Development Foundation stated that the short film competition unit of the Taichung International Animation Film Festival aims to discover new global animation talents and has attracted the attention of global animation creators and production companies. Despite the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic last year, a total of 2,028 works from 96 countries and regions have registered for the competition. Among the 63 short films shortlisted in the competition, 8 short films from Taiwan are highly praised by the judges, showing Taiwan animation With ample artistic creation energy, this year we look forward to more domestic and foreign animation creators participating in the annual international animation event. Global players will compete on the same stage and create a new peak in Taiwan's animation industry.

During the annual film festival, a number of heavyweight Taiwanese and cutting-edge directors gather in Taichung, which not only allows more outstanding Taiwanese animation works to be exposed globally, greatly enhances the international visibility of Taiwanese animation, but also allows Taichung's efforts to promote the intentions to be seen by the world. After intensive business operations in recent years, the Taichung International Animation Short Film Competition has gradually established itself in line with the world, and the judging results have become the trend of major film festivals. For example, the first prize of the Taiwan Short Film Competition last year, "The Magnificence of Mountains and Rivers" represented Taiwan in competing for Oscars and was nominated for the United States. Omaha Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, Hong Kong Film Festival and many other international film festivals.

The Information Bureau of the Taichung City Government stated that the "Taichung International Animation Film Festival" has been held annually in Taichung Commercial Theater since it was opened by the Information Bureau in 2015. Since 2017, it has been sponsored by the Taichung Film and Television Development Foundation under the subsidy of the Information Bureau. After just four years of hard work, we have gradually grown stronger, and we hope that more outstanding Taiwanese animation creators will shine internationally.
