1559年：法國國王亨利二世和西班牙國王腓力二世在康布雷簽署《卡托-康布雷齊和約》，義大利戰爭結束。

2007年：法國高速列車在行駛試驗中達到574.8公里的時速，創下有軌鐵路行駛世界紀錄。

2008年：克羅埃西亞和阿爾巴尼亞被批准正式加入北約。由於希臘的反對，馬其頓的入約申請未被批准。

2012年：全國民主聯盟在翁山蘇姬的率領下在1日舉行的緬甸議會補選中獲得45個補選議席中的43個。

1941: Hungarian and Nazi German troops marched into Yugoslavia.

1946: Japanese Army Lieutenant General Masharu Honma was shot in the outskirts of Manila in the name of war crimes.

1948: U.S. President Truman signed a bill to aid the restoration of Europe passed by Congress, and the Marshall Plan was formally implemented.

1968: The Concorde International Bridge (Spanish: Puente Internacional de la Concordia) connecting Brazil and Uruguay was built.

1971: The special film "Kamen Rider" made by Japanese manga artist Ishimori Akitaro premiered on TV Asahi.

1973: Martin Cooper conducts his first mobile phone communication in New York [1].

1974: Super Outbreak: 148 tornadoes occurred in 13 states in the United States.

1975: Bobby Fischer refused to play chess with Karpov, so Karpov became the world champion.

1989: The Basketball World Cup is open to professional players.

1991: Lebanese President Elias Hrawi declared the end of the 16-year civil war.

1992: The National People's Congress of China passed a resolution to build the Three Gorges Project on the Yangtze River.

1995: China and Boch established diplomatic relations.

1996: U.S. Air Force Flight IFO 21 crashed on a nearby mountainside while trying to land at Dubrovnik Airport in Croatia, killing 35 people on board, including U.S. Secretary of Commerce Ronald Brown .

21st century

2007: The French high-speed train reached a speed of 574.8 kilometers per hour in a running test, setting a world record for railroad running.

2008: Croatia and Albania were approved to formally join NATO. Due to Greece’s opposition, Macedonia’s application for accession was not approved.

2012: The National League for Democracy, led by Aung San Suu Kyi, won 43 of the 45 by-election seats in the Myanmar parliament by-election held on the 1st.
