In conjunction with the poetry exhibition, at 11 am on the 21st, a "Reading for Love" event was held in the lobby on the first floor of the master map and the Eslite Bookstore. Poets Chen Junhong and Huang Mingfeng were invited to recite love poems in Mandarin and Taiwanese respectively, with piano player Li Shangxuan on site , To show the charm of poetry with the "sound of piano. 屏東縣政府自即日起在總圖四樓屏東文學館推出「島嶼南方的情人」情詩展，展出10位屏東詩人的作品，以愛情、親情、友情及家鄉之愛等主題，呈現詩人對島嶼南方的愛戀，除了平面詩展外，民眾還可透過手機掃描QRcode聽到詩人的聲音，或者現場參與書寫，一同感受文字的溫度。

配合詩展，21日上午11時在總圖一樓大廳與誠品書店展開一場「為愛朗讀」的活動，邀請詩人陳雋弘與黃明峯，分別以國語及台語朗誦情詩，現場搭配鋼琴手李尚軒，以「琴聲．情聲」展現詩的魅力，吸引入館讀者目光，藉此讓更多人感受到詩就在生活之中。

文化處表示，屏東縣立圖書館總館四樓定位為屏東文學館，成為屏東文學的凝聚點，此次推出「島嶼南方的情人」情詩展，主要集結屏東10位詩人的作品，包括路衛、曾貴海、李敏勇、利玉芳、涂耀昌、梁明輝、郭漢辰、傅怡禎、黃明峯、陳雋弘等人，詩人涵蓋老中青三代，並包括國語、臺語及客語等語言，呈現多樣的詩風貌。

另外，文化處也首次延伸詩展的空間，除了總圖四樓為主展場外，在一樓的春若咖啡館、勝利星村的獨立書店永勝5號，都有情詩展的相關活動，永勝5號並有「島嶼南方的情人」主題書展及戳章收集，讓民眾更容易親近詩。

文化處表示，屏東縣的現代詩發展甚早，自1920年代起，即由前輩詩人楊華等人揭開序幕，直至1950年代開始有新一代的詩人曾貴海、李敏勇等人接棒拓展，21世紀初，在大武山文學獎的鼓勵下，屏東詩更是逐漸繁花茂盛，從山海家鄉到個人情感的描繪，均留下了許多膾炙人口的作品，在這次的情詩展中，民眾可近距離看到不一樣的屏東詩風景。
